Brent Anderson

Brent Anderson was raised in Northwestern Iowa.  He had his first year in college at Utah State in Logan, UT studying wildlife biology, then changed direction and set off to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago to study theology and international ministry.  He is also a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary.  Brent had a varied history in ministry in his early adult years.  He spent time in India and Nepal in itinerant ministry (1986-1988), conducted youth work in Iowa (1989-1990) and spent time in Central Asia working with churches, teaching and doing humanitarian projects (1990-2003) which continue through the present.  He has been a member at Hope Church since 2014. In May of 2021, Brent was called to be the Interim Pastor at Hope during the time the church is in search of a new full-time pastor.

Brent is married to Anna (Bendell) (BA in Biology & Journalism, Lehigh University – 1987; MA in Religion, Reformed Theological Seminary – 2018) who is originally from Hagerstown, MD.  They first met at an event at Moody Bible Institute and later connected while working in Kazakhstan. They were married in 1991 and have five boys, two girls and a first daughter-in-law.  Brent enjoys hiking, fishing and spending time with his wife and family.  Anna studies and writes on theology and enjoys many friends, reading, languages, cooking and family.

Todd A. Johnson

Todd Johnson was born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Hamburg, NY.  He has a long history of working with kids through various organizations including summer camps, ministries and churches.  He has gained experience through his work from everything as a director of a soup kitchen, teen programs, youth pastor and working with juvenile delinquents at Abraxas Youth Center in South Mountain, PA.  He spent nine years as a Masters level Family Based Therapist with Pennsylvania Counseling Services in Cumberland and Perry Counties and he is currently working for Laurel Life in Franklin and Fulton Counties as a Family Based Mental Health Professional.

Todd met his wife, Wanda Coon, at Messiah College (BA in Family Studies, Messiah College – 1988; MA in Elementary Education, Shippensburg University – 2015) and they were married in 1989. Wanda is currently a Kindergarten/1 st Grade combined classroom teacher.  They have two children.

Thomas J. Pasquarello

Tom Pasquarello grew up in suburban Philadelphia. He met his wife, Crystal Churchey (AD in Nursing, RN at HACC; BS in Nursing & BA in Bible at Messiah College; post grad studies for Certified School Nurse certification at Slippery Rock), while working in Harrisburg Hospital and they were married in 1979. They lived in Eqypt and Jordan for four years in the 80’s where they were missionaries under a cooperative agreement with Frontiers and Mission to the World (PCA). They were part of a church planting team in Egypt for 2 years. Tom has worked throughout the years in numerous capacities as a Respiratory Therapist, a Registered Nurse and a Physician Assistant. Tom is currently a Physician Assistant at Parkway Neuroscience and Spine Institute in Hagerstown, MD. His wife, Crystal, is a Certified school Nurse for the Fairfield Area School District. Tom & Crystal also work together part-time with Logistics Health Inc conducting military reserve medical/psych evaluations. They have four adult children and five grandchildren.

Denny Lebo grew up in Carlisle, PA. He met his wife, Joy Fickes, at a small church they both attended and together they opened the Communion Cup Book & Gift Shop in Carlisle in 1978, which they owned and operated for 19 ½ years. They were married in 1979. In his early years, Denny raced cars for 3 years and re-dedicated his life to Christ through a Lay Witness Mission at a United Methodist Church. Denny has been the elected Clerk of Court of Cumberland County since 1997. His wife, Joy (BA in Biology & Chemistry at Juniata College) has been a Domestic Engineer since their second child was born in 1985 and retired from home-schooling each of their eight children, five of whom are married, in 2020. They are expecting their 18th grandchild in September of 2021.

Julie Peterson grew up in Greencastle, PA and met her husband, Neil Peterson (BA in Mathematics from Shippensburg University, 1987) in a computer programming class at Shippensburg University. Incidentally, they both shared the same last name so that no names needed to be changed when they were married in 1989! After college, Julie was a computer programmer for a small company in Chambersburg and later worked in Data Security for Sprint before becoming the Administrative Assistant for Hope Church in 1998. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, she has had several home based businesses and was a piano teacher for 20 years.  She has been a church pianist since she was 12 years old and played for Hope Church since 1995.  Neil retired after 33 years with the government, most recently as a Mathematical Computer Programmer for the Department of Defense.  They have a son who is married and lives in Shippensburg and one grandson.
