Rev. David J. Fidati grew up in Scranton, PA and has served churches in Newark, DE and Lancaster, PA before coming to Shippensburg. On September 15, 1990, the Susquehanna Valley Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America called him to be the organizing pastor of a mission church to be established in Shippensburg. This later became Hope Reformed Presbyterian Church.

David met his wife, Kathryn Upson (BA in Behavioral Sciences, Messiah College 1976), at Messiah College and they married in 1975. They have three adult children and two granddaughters.

Rev. Philip H. Postma was called to be Hope Church’s Assistant Pastor in October 2017. A native Iowan, he attended Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa where he met his wife Rose (BA English Language Arts—2002). While pursuing a career in academia, Phil felt a call to ministry and switched career paths.  Previously, he has served congregations in Missouri and South Dakota. Phil and Rose live in Shippensburg with their four children.

Todd Johnson was born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Hamburg, NY.  He has a long history of working with kids through various organizations including summer camps, ministries and churches.  He has gained experience through his work from everything as a director of a soup kitchen, teen programs, youth pastor and working with juvenile delinquents at Abraxas Youth Center in South Mountain, PA.  He spent nine years as a Masters level Family Based Therapist with Pennsylvania Counseling Services in Cumberland and Perry Counties and he is currently working for Laurel Life in Franklin and Fulton Counties as a Family Based Mental Health Professional.

Todd met his wife, Wanda Coon, at Messiah College (BA in Family Studies, Messiah College – 1988; MA in Elementary Education, Shippensburg University – 2015) and they were married in 1989. Wanda is currently a Kindergarten/1 st Grade combined classroom teacher.  They have two children.

Tim C. Kennedy

Tim Kennedy was raised in Long Beach, California and has worked as a college level English teacher (Oregon State and University of Oregon) as well as a writer and editor for a Christian publishing company. He was ordained to the ministry in 1984 and served as an associate pastor in three different churches. He is currently the Chaplain at the Cumberland County Prison. He met his wife, Grace (studied Speech Therapy at Cal State Fullerton) at Grace Community Church of Seal Beach, CA and they were married in 1981. Grace was a homemaker and home-schooled all of their children. She is currently a medical receptionist at Summit Oncology & Hematology in Chambersburg. They have five children and three grandchildren.

Tom Pasquarello grew up in suburban Philadelphia. He met his wife, Crystal Churchey (AD in Nursing, RN at HACC; BS in Nursing & BA in Bible at Messiah College; post grad studies for Certified School Nurse certification at Slippery Rock), while working in Harrisburg Hospital and they were married in 1979. They lived in Eqypt and Jordan for four years in the 80’s where they were missionaries under a cooperative agreement with Frontiers and Mission to the World (PCA). They were part of a church planting team in Egypt for 2 years. Tom has worked throughout the years in numerous capacities as a Respiratory Therapist, a Registered Nurse and a Physician Assistant. Tom is currently a Physician Assistant at Parkway Neuroscience and Spine Institute in Hagerstown, MD. His wife, Crystal, is a Certified school Nurse for the Fairfield Area School District. Tom & Crystal also work together part-time with Logistics Health Inc conducting military reserve medical/psych evaluations. They have four adult children and five grandchildren.

Denny Lebo grew up in Carlisle, PA. He met his wife, Joy Fickes, at a small church they both attended and together opened the Communion Cup Book & Gift Shop in Carlisle in 1978 which they owned and operated for 19 ½ years. They were married in 1979. In his early years, Denny raced cars for 3 years and re-dedicated his life to Christ through Lay Witness Mission at Methodist Church. Denny has been the Clerk of Court of Cumberland County for 5 terms since 1997. His wife, Joy (BA in Biology & Chemistry at Juniata College) is currently a Domestic Engineer and has home-schooled each of their eight children. They also have ten grandchildren.

Todd Masters grew up in Quincy, PA. He met his wife, Michelle Stenger, at a church service through mutual friends and they were married in 1991. Over the past 20 years, Todd has done outpatient therapy, in-home therapy, and hospital therapy. He is currently a Physical Therapist Assistant for Magnolia Management Group and does short-term and long-term rehab in the nursing home setting. Michelle (BS/BA Business Administration-Finance at Shippensburg University) recently returned to work after 20 years of being a stay-at-home homeschoooling mom. She works in accounting for Occupational Services, Inc. They have two sons.

Joshua Neil grew up right here in Shippensburg, PA and met his wife, Cara, the very first week of their college careers at Shippensburg University.  They were married in 2014.  Josh is currently a Financial Advisor with Thrivent Financial.  Cara (BA in Communications Journalism from Shippensburg University 2014) works at the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association as a Communications Officer.  They live in Carlisle and have a daughter.

Julie Peterson grew up in Greencastle, PA and met her husband, Neil Peterson (BA in Mathematics from Shippensburg University, 1987) in a computer programming class at Shippensburg University. Incidentally, they both shared the same last name so that no names needed to be changed when they were married in 1989! After college, Julie was a computer programmer for a small company in Chambersburg and later worked in Data Security for Sprint before becoming the Administrative Assistant for Hope Church in 1998. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, she has had several home based businesses and is a piano teacher as well as a pianist for the church. Neil is a Mathematical Computer Programmer for the Department of Defense. They have a son who is married and lives in Shippensburg and one grandson.
